Wichita Lineman by Flea and Cave
Flea, or Michael Peter Balzary, mostly known as the bassist of Red Hot Chili Peppers, made, with the help of Nick Cave, and presented one month ago, this wonderful version of the old romantic country song "Wichita Lineman", a song written in 1968 by Jimmy Webb for American country music artist Glen Campbell.
And here's virtuoso Flea in a interview with Rick Beato:

Karen Dalton, 1937-1993
Karen Dalton is one of those cases of artists as Nick Drake and Tim Buckley which gained recognition much after their lifetimes. Courtney Barnett, Nick Cave, Devendra Banhart, are some of the artists that consider Karen as their influence. Here's her song "Something On Your Mind" and testimonies from Barnett and Cave about Karen and that very song. And also Karen in 1970 playing "A Little Bit of Rain". Karen died 30 years ago, on March 19, 1993.

the master AS left us 12 years ago
There are several (hundreds) artists that we relate immediately to António Sérgio because he was the one who fascinated us introducing them to us right after their appearance. Two of those artists are undoubtedly Nick Cave and Mark Lanegan. Cheers to them, cheers to AS, cheers to all of us who were blessed to listen to them.

the mercy seat on idiot prayer
Today, Radar broadcasted the entire "Idiot Prayer", a Nick Cave solo live concert without public and streamed online on 23 July 2020, during the Covid19 pandemic. I never heard about it and I was surprised about the quality of this performance. There were some songs that kept my attention and one of them was Mercy Seat, one of my favorites, magnificently played. Checked about it and yes, there are some clips available.

So long, dear friend
For almost one year we haven't had any news about our dear member, Senta. Then, I found that she passed away in August, after a long-term care.
Senta was an artist, a painter, a sculptor, an illustrator and a graphic designer.
She was a beautiful person, she had a great sense of humor and extreme good taste.
She honored us participating in this blog for a couple of years.
Since 2013, she started leaving her blogs and social media activities and contact has been decreasing.
So long, dear friend.

the day all the wolves howled
Martine, parisian, is a journalist and she was my friend since the early 80's. She admired our musical taste and the quality of our radio. We often went with some friends to a disco-bar called "Jamaica". That place was mostly frequented by students of Fine Arts and Architecture. The music there, was sometimes played by the master of all guilty of such good taste and by a friend of his. I remember Martine having so much fun jumping in a foolish way with Nina Hagen's sounds and others...Well, the man behind all this permanent discovery of new good sounds, with an amazing art of showcasing, was António Sérgio.

He stood at Basílica da Estrela for the last reunion of family and friends. Wolves, as I call them because he called himself "the wolf" due to the hours of his programs late at night. So only when I came back home at 3 o'clock in the morning, I could try to approach him but all doors were closed.
The funny thing is that I knew he was there beyond that wall with the lighted window next to me and I heard a friend of nights and wolves, an owl hooting in the garden in front. And then an enormous plane passed painted in hot colours coming from Angola. The artist below was deeply admired by himself. He, who intruduced him to us so many times. The choice is his. The anger is mine.
