The Hymn to Apollo

The Hymn to Apollo was composed in ancient Greece. The date is uncertain but is surely centuries before Christ. The composition was discovered in the ruins of Delphi and adapted by Gabriel Fauré in 1894.
Days ago, on August 11th, during the Closing Ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics, a haunting interpretation of the Hymn to Apollo was presented and sung by the Franco-Swiss tenor Benjamin Bernheim and accompanied by the Swiss pianist Alain Roche creator of the revolutionary project "Piano Vertical" where he plays on a grand piano suspended in the air.
