asperezas said...: Yes, "Von" means Hope. However, it is sung in Glossolaia (invented language) that they called as Hopelandic for this song.
And yes, you're right again, the 2nd song means Haystacks. As much as I read about, it is the lament and the goodbye from an old farmer in agony.
This is dedicated to my father in law, a very lovely and cheerful person and one of the most loved and important persons in my daughter's life.
Finally he's free from a pain that lasted for years.
