half awake

Stay out super late tonight; picking apples, making pies; put a little something in our lemonade and take it with us; we’re half-awake in a fake empire. Tiptoe through our shiny city; with our diamond slippers on; do our gay ballet on ice; bluebirds on our shoulders; we’re half-awake in a fake empire. Turn the light out say goodnight; no thinking for a little while; lets not try to figure out everything at once; It’s hard to keep track of you falling through the sky; we’re half-awake in a fake empire.

Sweet dreams

on a jazzy blue mood today

I've chosen the small format, because this is a clip with low image quality.
The good Willie Nelson's music and great Patsy Cline's voice, persists

...or maybe sultans

a song always present

'holes' mercury rev Time, all the long red lines, that take Control, of all the smoke-like streams that flow into your Dreams, that big blue open sea, that can't be Crossed, that can't be climbed, just born Between, oh the two white lines, distant gods and faded Signs, of all those blinking lites, you had to pick the one tonight... Holes, dug by little moles, angry jealous Spies, got telephones for eyes, come to you as Friends, all those endless ends, that can't be Tied, oh they make me laugh, and always make me Cry, until they drop like flies, and sink like polished Stones, of all the stones i throw, How does that old song go? How does that old song go?... Bands, those funny little plans, that never work quite right.

safe inside

this is my today's song

As songs that go forgotten ; are found, remembered, loved and sung again ; the father of all kindness ; the lover of all souls, will come to find us. And if I can remain there ; and if I can remain there, I will stay. And I will live another day... A smallness there's no shame in ; a gift that's bigger than the Black Sea heaving. And if I can remain there ; In that heaven of her eyes ; I'll find a tiny paradise and no goodbyes. And if I can remain there ; and if I can remain there, I will stay. And I will live another day. Safe. Safe inside. Where angels soft as kisses ride on gentle horses. Safe inside the day, inside the song. Safe inside. If laughing big and silent pride, on gentle horses. Safe inside the day, inside the song. Safe inside ...

... Pick apart the past, you’re not going back . So don’t you waste your time ... Hoping for the last ship to arrive . I’ve been blessed with a kingdom, half-mine ...

to build a home

não podia deixar de passar talvez o clip do ano...

The Cinematic Orchestra - "To build a home"

There is a house built out of stone .
Wooden floors, walls and window sills .
Tables and chairs worn by all of the dust .
This is a place where I don't feel alone .
This is a place where I call my home .

And I built a home . For you . For me .
Until it disappeared . From me . From you .
And now, it's time to leave and turn to dust .

Out in the garden where we planted the seeds .
There is a tree as old as me .
By the cracks of the skin I climbed to the top .
I climbed the tree to see the world .
When the gusts came around to blow me down .
I held on as tightly as you held onto me .
I held on as tightly as you held onto me .

And I built a home . For you . For me .
Until it disappeared . From you . From me .
And now, it's time to leave and turn to dust

Dancing With the Moonlit Knight

"Can you tell me where my country lies?" said the unifaun to his true love's eyes. "It lies with me!" cried the Queen of Maybe - for her merchandise, he traded in his prize.

"Paper late!" cried a voice in the crowd. "Old man dies!" The note he left was signed 'Old Father Thames' - it seems he's drowned; selling england by the pound. Citizens of Hope & Glory, Time goes by - it's "the time of your life". Easy now, sit you down. Chewing through your Wimpey dreams, they eat without a sound; digesting england by the pound. Young man says "you are what you eat" - eat well. Old man says "you are what you wear" - wear well. You know what you are, you don't give a damn; bursting your belt that is your homemade sham. The Captain leads his dance right on through the night - join the dance... Follow on! Till the Grail sun sets in the mould. Follow on! Till the gold is cold. Dancing out with the moonlit knight, Knights of the Green Shield stamp and shout. There's a fat old lady outside the saloon; laying out the credit cards she plays Fortune. The deck is uneven right from the start; and all of their hands are playing apart. The Captain leads his dance right on through the night - join the dance... Follow on! A Round Table-talking down we go. You're the show! Off we go with - You play the hobbyhorse, I'll play the fool. We'll tease the bull ringing round & loud, loud & round. Follow on! With a twist of the world we go. Follow on! Till the gold is cold. Dancing out with the moonlit knight, Knights of the Green Shield stamp and shout.
