Vino Dragostea
Sofia Leão, only 18 years old, is a Portuguese composer and musician and daughter of our known Rodrigo Leão. She released her 1st album "Mar" (Sea) one month ago. Most songs are sung in Portuguese, one in English and this one, in Italian, Vino Dragostea, a very nice song, kinda old traditional troubadour song about some loose ideas like: Dragostea Wine, weak current of Satan, you go with this current ... The sea embraces the moon, the moon embraces the sea ... and you depend on yourself.

Don't Do It, a take two
This was my yesterday's song.
It was posted 1stly here
Sharon said to KEXP: "I definitely wrote it with people in mind. Suicide is obviously immediate. People that have mental health issues, that don't take care of themselves or don't know how to, or don't know how to reach out for help, and how helpless they are and how helpless you feel as a friend. ... Even though sometimes I get embarrassed of how, when you just look at lyrics on a page without the music, I'm like, 'if you want to do it, you want to do it, even if I don't want you to.' Like, alone looking at those lyrics, I get embarrassed. But a lot of it is the emotion behind it that makes it feel that much more tangible, and maybe elusive at the same time. It's still a complex thought, to be honest."

Ana Moura
Ana Moura is a Portuguese singer of the music genre Fado. She is related to Africa and its culture due to her parents living in Angola and to her African grandmother Guilhermina. Casa Guilhermina, is the title of Ana Moura's last album where she embraces all her ancestral cultures with some mix of new urban rhythms. Here's some videos I recorded from her last concert, 3 days ago.

To America and to the Moon
Os Azeitonas (The Olives) is a band from Porto, Portugal. This song, entirely composed by Miguel Araújo, is their biggest success. It's a love song about a boy promising his girlfriend, he's gonna sell his guitar to take her to America and to the Moon, and other things. Amazing :)

Psycho Killer, 50 years
... plus one.
Psycho Killer was 1stly performed live in 1974 by the band Artistics, which became the Talking Heads.
Supposedly, Talking Heads 1st live show in CBGB, happened precisely 50 years ago, on 5th of June 1975.
And so, the Talking Heads just released a video commemorating that ... fact. The video shows a disturbed woman in her daily life.
And now, one of the some (3?) Talking Heads performances in CBGB on 1975.

And Lou's messages and stories. They are more current than ever. Anyone who doesn't like this is not a good human.

Have a beautiful Valentine's Day
My wife is not mine, she is of her mind. Even though she thinks so, she doesn't need me. That's what I like about her.
She doesn't want to be my world, but she has me in her desires. I can see it in her eyes, the clear presence of our adventures.
She flies with her fantastic birds, agnostics, friendly, by fields of reasons. And when she comes back she brings me sweets.
She does not show herself in the window, with her body illuminated. But she shows the universe, to hunting animals, when she goes down to the market.
She descends from the hair of the stars, right under the ghosts' noses, that she learned to disassemble. And she ends up turning them into toys.
My wife is not mine, she is of her mind. Even though she thinks so, she doesn't need me. That's what I like about her.
She is the captain of her ship.

Heart of Gold revisited
"Heart of Gold" is a treasure.
Jane Weaver's version of that song, is undoubtedly one the best covers of all but, it is shamefully forgotten even in covers lists about this song. It was recorded in 2010 for the album Harvest Revisited released by Mojo Magazine in February 2011, celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Harvest.
On 21st September 2024, Neil Young performed "Heart of Gold" at Farm Aid.
And here, Neil Young again, playing it at BBC Radio Theatre, London, on 23th February 1971. This BBC concert was included in the album "Harvest 50th Anniversary Edition" released on December 2, 2022.

David Lynch
David Lynch, 1946/01/20 - 2025/01/16.
A multitalented artist and the filmmaker of dreams and nightmares.
Suffering from emphysema since at least 2022, Lynch was evacuated from his home due to the Southern California wildfires happening since 7 of January. "These events preceded a terminal decline in his health", Deadline Hollywood reported.
He wrote many songs, mostly lyrics for songs to be played in his movies.
"Sycamore Trees" and "The World Spins" were some of those songs brilliantly used in his weird dreams put in films.
Thank you very much Mr Lynch.
