I don't think you celebrate Halloween there but it is another American holiday that is based on eating :E candy :P sugar :F that guy lost a toof from all the sugar :D most of our holidays revolve around food or candy :F
We had that old holiday since the celtic times but then christians "transformed" it (as many other things) for something called "the day of all saints" where kids went door to door asking candies with the famous "trick or treat" words. The day after there's the Memorial Day. The difference is that we didn't have parties since centuries ago. Then the marketing of multinational companies put all christian european youth jumping with a 2nd Carnival... :D Could I say dancing to the sound of the 1st song of the B side of a certain Pink Floyd album? :D
"Can you tell me where my country lies?" said the unifaun to his true love's eyes. "It lies with me!" cried the Queen of Maybe - for her merchandise, he traded in his prize ..." Dancing With the Moonlit Knight, 1973 Peter Gabriel- Genesis
The 1st post of this blog, gaves the title to the states of our souls, maybe...
