Love the Stranglers. They were a band I always meant to listen to more but somehow life got in the way and I only ever bought one album. This song is very reminiscent of Talking Heads.
Hi Andrea! Nice to see you :) Why you think it's reminiscent to TH? Any song in particular? :) I used to listen to Stranglers in a house of a pal of mine. Then I only bought "La Folie" and recentely I have a double CD compilation.
I remember very well these guys in their early ears. They were very appreciated here and they came every year. In 1979 concert they projected some raven images on the background In this very song (title of the album too) there was a huge raven head. And in the end, a yellow light appeared behind the eye. It was getting stronger, almost blinding, as the music was fading out (longer than in this clip).
"Can you tell me where my country lies?" said the unifaun to his true love's eyes. "It lies with me!" cried the Queen of Maybe - for her merchandise, he traded in his prize ..." Dancing With the Moonlit Knight, 1973 Peter Gabriel- Genesis
The 1st post of this blog, gaves the title to the states of our souls, maybe...
