Desolation Row by Cat Power

Cat Power (Chan Marshall) live on 1st of March, 2024, at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota. Recreating the famous concert of Bob Dylan in Manchester, England, 1966, wrongly named "The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert" for bootleg recordings.
Here, from the entire concert below, it is selected Desolation Row:

wonderwall, or the wishing stone

On the last post I talked about the secret stories behind Supersonic, a song written by Noel Gallagher, one of my very favorite Oasis songs ever. The other very fave is Wonderwall, which I used to sing with my daughter. Below, Cat Marshall singing it to John Peel.

Again, no one would have a clue about what Noel is talking about if there weren't some explanations made later as James Hargreaves shows here:

This is a VERY long documentary but it's totally worth watching entirely.
Below, a very peculiar version from Noel himself.

Have a wonderful week :)

stay

performed by Cat Power
Stay, originally sung by Rihanna, is a song written by 3 excellent composers: Mikky Ekko, Elof Loelv and Justin Parker. Justin Parker, is the best known of the 3 due to his cooperations with Lana Del Rey, Bat for Lashes, Sia, Seal and many, many others.

With Cat Power today, recorded in 1996, 1998 and 2006.

Many things are happening lately, I even forgot this 12th anniversary. And then I decided to post when I was in the mood for it. Made 15 days later, this post is symbolically marked as made on November 4, as it should be. Enjoy :)
