Days Of Ash
U2 just released on Ash Wednesday, "Days Of Ash". It's an EP with six songs condemning current regimes of violence in many places in the world, their injustices, and the resulting deaths.
Here's two songs of the six included in that EP:
1 - About the authoritarian government in America, its brutal ICE, and homaging Renée Good:
Renee Good born to die free. American mother of three.
American Obituary
2 - And about the war in Ukraine and the heroic resistance of the people of that nation:
Don't sleep. Don't even think about it. No need. Maybe a little bit. Still dream. About waking up free.
Yours Eternally

Love is urgent
Urgentemente
Urgently
Love is urgent.
A boat at sea is urgent.
It's urgent to destroy certain words, hate, loneliness and cruelty, some laments, many swords.
It's urgent to invent joy, to multiply kisses, the harvests, it's urgent to discover roses and rivers and clear mornings.
Silence falls on the shoulders and the light impure, until it hurts.
Love is urgent, it's urgent to remain.
Have a beautiful Valentine's Day <3

Because there are also good souls in America
Renée Nicole Good was a fatal victim of ICE brutality*. Minutes earlier, she had dropped her 6-year-old son off at school.
John Fogerty is helping Renée's son in multiple ways.
Here's John Fogerty on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2025 playing his first great hit, Proud Mary, in Tiny Desk Concert - NPR session, and explaining how he wrote it in 1968.
