Cocteau Twins-Seekers who are Lovers

This is the last post on Liz Fraser for this month but hopefully we will hear more of her music in the future. This song is to commemorate her unique and amazing talents as well as to celebrate her birthday August 29, 1963.
The genres of music that she is listed in are: dream pop, ethereal wave, ambient, Gothic rock but she is really a Scottish angel. A private artist who deserves the greatest respect.
Please enjoy this most beautiful song :)

C'est pas la mer à boire

C'est pas la mer à boire. C'est-à-dire pas de problème ou it's no big deal, it's not the sea to drink.

song to the siren

(Continuing the last post) Some years later, Elizabeth Fraser met Tim Buckley's son, Jeff. It is public that they had an intense relationship. In 1994 Liz made a duet with Jeff to a Jeff's new song and they recorded an almost private rehearsal that has never released commercially. The song is called "All Flowers In Time Bend Towards The Sun" and was 1st presented to my country by Ri.Ma. as I told here as acknowledgment to Ri.Ma. about this original post that he commented too. In 1997 Jeff fell deep in Mississippi waters near Memphis where he lived. He used to swim in the river but this time he was all dressed and with boots on a boat singing "whole lotta love" with some friends. His experience was not enough to take off the boots. No one will know if he found any siren to sing lotta love or even his father on a rock at the bottom of Mississippi waiting for his siren. What we know is that Liz and the Cocteau Twins with This Mortal Coil made the first and the most stunning version of a song born "folky". And it is this version of 1984 that David Lynch used in "Lost Highway" as some other filmmakers.

The original of Tim Buckley is posted here.

the premonition?

In early 80's the Cocteau Twins took part of another band, "This Mortal Coil". In 1983 the soprano voice of Liz showed to the world this treasure from Tim Buckley:

Where is my mind?

Liz at 19

As commented before, Elizabeth Fraser was born on August 29, 1963. Until then I'll make some posts about "Liz" and I invite you all to join me. On the label Elizabeth Fraser you can find something more about this brilliant singer. Her first appearence on TV was on the show "Whatever You Want" in Brixton, November 1982. Here's its only video recording available online:

And this is the song (to listen) :

And another nice version live in Amsterdam 29th January 1983:

I'm back

Despite the beauty of local girls, being back in certain ways seems like the constraint of the censorship in the old USSR. Nothing serious. Really. And my holiday is not finished yet. :P Sorry I didn't hear your posts yet and I'm sure they are beautiful. I'm tired and first I have to say HI. :-)
