May you never - a tribute

Ravel's Bolero

Classical music, so beautiful and oh so sexy! This was the best quality video I could find, but it's too long, so just watch till the end of the music. (by the way, they got gold at Sarajevo olympics 84)

from the lost musics sessions, in repeat, take 2

This post, as the last one, is part of a original sequence I posted 'somewhere', and copied here.
These musical pieces are so intense, that put us inside a kind of movie, as we can see:

tell me a story (in repeat)

"I had a farm in Africa at the foot of the Ngong Hills. ... The views were immensely wide. Everything that you saw made for greatness and freedom, and unequaled nobility. ... Up in this high air you breathed easily, drawing in a vital assurance and lightness of heart. In the highlands you woke up in the morning and thought: Here I am, where I ought to be." "If I know a song of Africa, of the giraffe and the African new moon lying on her back, of the plows in the fields and the sweaty faces of the coffee pickers, does Africa know a song of me? Will the air over the plain quiver with a color that I have had on, or the children invent a game in which my name is, or the full moon throw a shadow over the gravel of the drive that was like me, or will the eagles of the Ngong Hills look out for me?"

my today's song ...

... since last night...

come together to rave in jammed sympathy

A heartache cought in my eye

Some people may find this song sad, but I really like the lyrics

Comic Relief

Not for the music or the video, but for Comic Relief. If there is one thing the British do well is fundraising for charity. Comic Relief raised a staggering £58million on friday night. Considering the current credit crunch situation, and the amount of people losing their jobs and houses, this is absolutely amazing! Hope the African kids will really feel the benefit!

as I was 6

When I was 6, I lived near Cascais Rail Line, and any train's passage caused the TV untune. But then, from TV came the most POP of POP's: Sandie Shaw singing and dancing barefoot as a "puppet on the string"... From the top of my 6 years, I took that picture as muse and her 45 rpm single, ran more miles than all the trains that untuned our TV set. :D Today, I almost feel the same when I see this:

:D enjoy!

anticipation

Well, my daughter is anticipating the concert of AC/DC, to all house corners and surrounding areas...
So, as I haven't a bit inspiration at all, I was contaminated ...
Have a nice weekend!

At good Bon's time, this was called "caganeira musical" (crap music)... Who would say?

Throw those curtains wide, let the sun kiss me

The sound is not as perfect as in "Jools Holland", but you can't beat the "Glastonbury's feel"
